Today was my best maple sap haul to date. I pulled 2 gallons from the jugs beneath my 10 taps. Thankfully I had my little helper to hold the flashlight as we ventured off into the sugarbush.
The sap was crystal clear, cold, & sweet. Looking ahead temperature-wise tomorrow is looking like a slow day, but Thursday and Friday appear to have the temperature swings needed for good sap flow when coupled with a couple of good days beforehand.
Finally, getting the hang of blogging from a hand held. Now to boiling.
