It has been a busy summer! The garden has been growing and we have been harvesting beans, potatoes & cukes regularly. We are now starting to see some of the summer vegetables and flowers start to develop.
Hopefully the deer will find someone else’s vegetables to eat this year especially since it looks like we are going to get some legitimate tomatoes this year!
The marigolds continue to bloom, as long as you keep dead-heading the plants. Wen planted some Gladiolus flowers this year and we got some pretty interesting colors form the pink & white below to dark red with some peach colored flowers in between.
The Jack be little pumpkins are starting to develop on the vine. The boys are growing these to potentially give their teachers in the fall around Halloween
The blueberry crop was light this year. As we continue to harvest veg from the garden it is also time to start thinking about re-planting for fall crops. Wen has planted some fall lettuces, spinach and kale. Sounds exciting I know.
